You are holding a unique whisky bottle. UWCC members, together with Whisky Corner experts, were monitoring the whisky maturation process and controlling the gradual set of its refined and unique taste. On October 14th, 2017, this whisky turned 22.
According to experts, whisky has reached its perfection and is ready to please its connoisseurs.
For this release, the experts have selected a first-fill Allier cask. The wood from Allier, Troncais, and Vosges forests are the best for a long time maturation due to its small-grained structure. This type of wood casks producers use for the best wines and cognac maturation.
Year after year, the whisky was absorbing tart and velvety notes of noble wood, giving away an “Angel’s share” – that’s how Scottish call that part of the beverage that evaporates due to the cask “breathing”.
